Christmas Open House 2010

Although it is 70 degrees outside, Decatur is celebrating it's 3rd Annual Christmas Open House, Downtown and Around Town Friday November 12th and Saturday November 13th, 2010.  20 participating Businesses.  Be sure to visit each location for SPECIALS, ENTERTAINMENT, REFRESHMENTS, UNIQUE GIFT AND DECORATING IDEAS AND MUCH, MUCH MORE.  Yvonne Marie's will have story telling Saturday 2-4.  Look for vintage Christmas items and sales throughout the store.  Looking forward to seeing you!!

Kekionga Festival

Come join us in celebrating Decatur's Kekionga Festival this weekend August 27-29.  Many of our dealers will be setting up for sidewalk sales on Saturday, August 28th in front of the store.  Many of our dealers have mark-downs and sales throughout the store.  We will soon be decorating for Halloween.  Come in and see our staff's creativity!!!

Happy Mother's Day!! Hope everyone is enjoying this beautiful summer day!! For those decorating a nursery, we have some adorable vintage clothes and baby shoes. For those others who may be celebrating a wedding this spring or summer, we have some beautiful jewelry for that Mother's dress, wedding gown or new outfit for that special event.  Come in and check out our new booth on the main floor!! Check out Booth 24 for a large collection of comic books featuring such titles as I Love Lucy, Bonanza, and Leave It to Beaver just to name a few.  Booth 55 on the upstairs level offers a selection of historical period clothing, including dresses and shirts.  Booth 55 also offers hickory nuts, cookbooks, and a collection of candle cloths in various colors and seasonal patterns.  Yvonne Marie's has a great selection of mother's day gifts, including jewelry, linens, vases, and picture frames.  If you are unsure of what to buy, Yvonne Marie's also offers gift certificates.  Have a great week and we hope to see you soon!!  Check out additional photos on our Facebook and Flickr accounts.

Just a reminder. Decatur's Spring Has Sprung Event starts today April 8th and runs through Saturday April 10th.  There will be door prizes, refreshments and special pricing throughout Decatur stores.  Starting at 10 a.m. Saturday there will be live dancing by the court house.  Due to Easter holiday, The Decatur Flea Market at the Riverside Center will be this Sunday April 11th.  Due to this being flea market Sunday, Yvonne Marie's will be open 10-5.  If you are in spring cleaning mode, Yvonne Marie's has several items, such as baskets and trunks, that would be great for creative clutter control.  Hope to c u soon!!

Beautiful days like this make me think of warm days on the beach and ice-cold drinks.  Yvonne Marie's has vintage coolers and collectibles for the Pepsi or the Coca Cola fan.  Great decorations for a garden party or for the cottage at the lake.

HAPPY EASTER TO ALL OF OUR FAMILIES, FRIENDS, AND VALUED CUSTOMERS!!! IT IS SO EXCITING TO SEE SPRING FLOWERS COMING INTO BLOOM.  OLD CANNING JARS MAKE GREAT VASES FOR THOSE COLORFUL BUDS.  THE SMALL OPENING KEEPS THE FLOWERS TOGETHER, BUT LEAVES ROOM FOR THE STEMS TO SPREAD OUT.  BRINGING SOME OF THOSE FLOWERS INSIDE LETS YOU ENJOY THEIR BEAUTY BOTH INSIDE AND OUT.
